Day one of the 28th Annual Tunica-Biloxi Pow Wow in Marksville is in the books!

The Pow Wow is underway at Paragon Casino Resort in Marksville.

Singers, dancers, drummers and members from multiple Native American tribes came together to celebrate history and culture.

This year's Pow Wow was dedicated to the memory of John Barbry, a cultural leader and chairman of the Pow Wow Committe for many years. He died in January.

The Tunica-Biloxi Pow Wow also features native craft and food vendors.

The Pow Wow runs through Sunday, May 17, with the last Grand Entry Ceremony set for noon.
