After several hours, SB 121, the bill that would create new Congressional districts for Louisiana, advanced through the Senate to the House Thursday afternoon.
The bill passed the Senate by a vote of 27 to 10. A Motion to Reconsider was tabled. Louisiana has 39 Senators; two were absent Thursday.
The bill now goes to the House.
