Louisiana State Police Trooper George Baker will be laid to rest on Thursday, May 28, 2020, following a private memorial service for his family, Louisiana State Police Troopers, and uniformed law enforcement colleagues. The service will take place at 10:30 am at the University Center on the Southeastern Louisiana University's campus in Hammond, LA. Please be advised that in compliance with CDC recommendations, all attendees will be screened with temperature checks and the use of masks and social distancing between family units will be strongly encouraged.

Gov. Edwards will attend the memorial service and make remarks honoring Trooper Baker.

With the assistance of the Southeastern Sports Network, a link for the live-streamed service will be available on the LSP Facebook page at www.facebook.com/LouisianaStatePolice.
