Three people have been arrested in connection with the human trafficking of a 15-year-old from Texas.
On February 1, 2021, Louisiana State Police arrested three three people for their alleged participation in the human trafficking of the teen.
State Police say an officer from Bunkie Police Department conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle on Monday. As a result of the stop, Troopers say a missing 15-year-old juvenile was located in the vehicle.
Through an investigation, State Police say law-enforcement identified the juvenile as being sexually exploited and was being transported for the purposes of human trafficking from the Houston, Texas area. The investigation led to the arrest of 24-year-old Terry Williams and 25-year-old Infiniti Williams, both of Texas, and 21-year-old Areona Ardoin of Alexandria.
Terry Williams and Areona Ardoin were booked by Alexandria Police Department into the Rapides Parish Detention Center. They were charged with human trafficking and contributing to the delinquency of a juvenile.
Infiniti Williams was booked by Louisiana State Police into the Avoyelles Parish Detention Center. She was charged with human trafficking and contributing to the delinquency of a juvenile.
An investigation is ongoing. No other details were provided.
