State Police and the Governor were clear today: There are no plans to close any roads in Louisiana because of COVID-19.

Here's a release from Troop E in Alexandria:

"Throughout the week, Louisiana State Police Troop E has received many phone calls about possible road closures as a result of COVID-19. In an effort to dispel these rumors, Louisiana State Police would like to reiterate the fact that currently there are no plans to close any roadways. We ask the public to please obtain information from reliable sources and refrain from spreading misinformation," the release states.

As usual, there are always roads closed or partially closed because of crashes and construction. To find out about those, check out 511la.org, or visit the state's DOTD Twitter accounts or the Louisiana 511 apps.
