A school in New Orleans was placed on lock down Tuesday following a shooting nearby that injured a student.
According to Nola.com, an 11th grade student was shot in the hip outside the George Washington Carver High School. Reports state that the student was shot off-campus and then ran to the school after being shot.
George Washington Carver High was placed on lock down following the incident but that has been lifted.
Nola.com reports that the injuries to the boy were not believed to be life-threatening.
