State veterans homes accepting donations of PPE

Louisiana Department of Veterans Affairs veterans homes are accepting donations of personal protective equipment as healthcare professionals work to combat the spread of COVID-19 in the state's medical facilities.

Facilities are currently accepting donations of the following PPE:

- Non-sterile 2 or 3 ply surgical masks
- Non-sterile full body isolation gowns
- Medical, non-sterile, latex free gloves in all sizes, but especially medium and large
- N95 masks
- Gel hand sanitizer

Those interested or with further questions can contact specific homes for more information.

There are five veterans homes across the state:

Southwest Louisiana Veterans Home -
1610 Evangeline Road in Jennings

Louisiana Veterans Home -
4739 Highway 10 in Jackson

Southeast Louisiana Veterans Home -
4080 W. Airline Highway in Reserve

Northeast Louisiana Veterans Home -
6700 Highway 165 North in Monroe

Northwest Louisiana Veterans Home -
3130 Arthur Ray Teague Parkway in Bossier City
