State Fire Marshal deputies are working two fatal fires today, December 27.
Three people total died in the fires, which happened in Caddo and Ouachita parishes in north Louisiana.
SFM officials say the first call came in to Caddo Parish Fire District #1 just before 11:30 p.m. of a house on fire in the 5300 block of North Market Street in Shreveport. Firefighters later located the bodies of a male and female inside of the home near the front door. While this scene has been cleared, the investigation is ongoing.
Then, just before 5:30 a.m., the Ouachita Fire Department responded to a mobile home fire located in the 200 block of Lottie Lane in Eros. There, firefighters located the body of one occupant inside. This scene and investigation are still active, SFM officials say.
