and last updated

The Small Business Administration has opened virtual recovery centers to help those impacted by Hurricane Laura.

SBA has loans available for businesses, home owners, renters, and private non-profits.

Businesses and private non-profits can borrow up to $2 million for repairs. Maximum loan amounts for renters if $40,000.

You can call 1-800-659-2955 to learn more.

"Our position is virtual," said Susheel Kumar with the SBA's Office of Disaster Assistance. "So you would call that number and you would talk to somebody, let them know your circumstance. We'd take an application and start processing your application posthaste."
