Drew Brees will play in Sunday's game against the Arizona Cardinals, according to Nola.com.
Reporters from ESPN and the NFL report that, weeks after having surgery on his thumb, Brees will return to the field against the Cardinals.

Brees has been practicing with the team over the last few days.
Earlier this week, Drew said "the plan" was for him to play on Sunday, "as long as he felt he could play the position properly."
Brees injured his thumb in the Saints matchup against the Los Angeles Rams on September 15.
