The City of New Orleans announced on Friday that the removal of two bodies from the collapsed Hard Rock Hotel will not happen this week.

Officials cited weather and equipment issues as the cause of the delay, according to WVUE.

No new timeline for the retrieval of the bodies has been made at this time.

Earlier this week, New Orleans Fire Chief Tim McConnell said that crews hoped to recover one of the two bodies by the end of this week and recover the second body next week.

The Hard Rock construction site collapse last year killed three and injured several others.
