Thursday night, President Trump authorized additional funding for Louisiana in the aftermath of Hurricane Laura.
Under the major disaster declaration issued for the state on August 28, federal funding was made available for public assistance at 75% federal funding of total eligible costs. The president has amended the declaration and authorized a 100% federal cost share for debris removal and emergency protective measures, including direct federal assistance.
The amendment applies for a continuous period of 30 days established by the state.
