Port Barre Police are currently on scene of a train crash involving an 18-wheeler on McCormick Drive, just off US 190.
Police said no injuries or hazard material spills have been reported The truck trailer was empty and their are no road blockage.
Union Pacific Police are also on scene.
Initial investigation shows the truck driver failed to yield and crossed into the path of the oncoming train police said.
