The police chief of a small northeast Louisiana town has a message for motorists: stay at home.

In LaSalle Parish, the Town of Olla police chief seems to have a poetic side when it comes to finding a creative way to inform the public on staying safe during winter weather.

Police Chief Daniel Smith posted his take on the Vanilla Ice pop song from the 90s, "Ice, Ice Baby."

It takes a little license with the lyrics and the arrangement, but it gets the point across:

"Alright stop, collaborate and listen
Ice is back and it’s not driving conditions
Tires, won’t grab the road tightly
Bad all day, gets worse nightly
Will the car stop? Yo, that’s a no
Stay at home, no need to go."
