A plane has crashed near Hackberry in Cameron Parish, authorities say. Sheriff Ron Johnson confirms with KATC that there are no survivors.
Sheriff Ron Johnson told KPLC that the plane crashed on a small island between Hackberry and Big Lake, near Pete Seay Circle.
A marine unit is currently on scene, according to KPLC, and the sheriff says deputies are in communication with the Federal Aviation Administration, who will be on the scene Wednesday morning.
