The New Orleans Fire Department is battling a five-alarm fire at a French Quarter hotel Thursday night, nola.com reports.

Crews were called to the Quarter House Resort shortly before 8 p.m. Thursday. Firefighters were still working to put out the fire at 11 p.m.

Two firefighters have been injured while fighting the blaze; one was overcome with smoke while going up a stairwell and authorities had to rescue a second firefighter through a fifth-floor window after he became separate from his crew.

NOFD authorities say the fire started in the attic, but it wasn't immediately clear what started the fire.
