Multiple agencies are responding to a sewer treatment plant fire in Denham Springs on Saturday afternoon, according to The Advocate.
The plant is Mo-Dad Utilities, a residential water and waste water utility service. It is near the Juban Road exit.
Officials say the call came in around 1:30 p.m.
Chief Joe Koczrowski of Livingston Fire Protection District 5 said the fire is contained to about 50 percent of the warehouse.
He added that there is nothing hazardous involved.
Firefighters began attacking the blaze using foam. Homeland security and the Office of Emergency Preparedness were on scene as well.
The chief said it is unknown what caused the fire and that it may take firefighters until tomorrow to extinguish the blaze.
