A Thibodaux man was arrested on Thursday for allegedly making threats to blow up a hospital in Lafourche Parish.

Police Chief Bryan Zeringue says that 43-year-old Kentrell Pharagood was booked on a charge of Terrorizing following an incident on Wednesday at a Thibodaux hospital.

The incident took place around 10:00 pm on February 26.

Officers learned through their investigation that Pharagood made the terrorizing comment in a loud voice after becoming upset that hospital staff were taking too long to see him.

Zeringue says that although the threatening comment may have been made in frustration, the incident had to be taken seriously.

Pharagood was arrested and booked into the Lafourche Parish Correctional Complex where he remains on a $20,000 bond.
