LPB to air panel discussion on COVID-19 vaccine

Louisiana Public Broadcasting will air a special panel discussion on the COVID-19 vaccine and what Louisianans need to know.

The panel will bring Governor John Bel Edwards and medical experts together in a safe and socially distanced rountable discussion. LPB says the panel will focus on questions the public may have about COVID-19 vaccine including how the vaccine works and whether it is safe and who will get the vaccine and when.

Along with Governor Edwards, will be the following medical officials:

● Dr. Joseph Kanter – Interim Assistant Secretary of the Office of Public Health, Louisiana Department of Health, ER doctor
● Dr. Reynold Verret – President of Xavier University, pharmacist, participated in clinical trial
● Dr. Tina Stefanski – Regional Medical Director for Region 4 (Acadiana), Office of Public Health, Louisiana Department of Health

The program will air on LPB Friday, December 18 at 7pm and encore on Sunday, December 20 @ 4:30pm. It will also stream live online at www.lpb.org/livetv, on the LPB App, and via LPB’s YouTube Channel. LPB is making this program available to TV and Radio stations across the state.

KATC will also air the discussion online at katc.com and our streaming apps.
