Although Hurricane Delta has not completely passed, a number of Lafayette residents have already been out cleaning up storm damage Friday evening.
A video sent to KATC-TV by Conner Branson showed residents armed with chain saws cleaning up Broadmoor Blvd. before the sun went down. The a number of fallen trees had fallen on the road.
Hurricane Delta officially made landfall around 6 p.m. near Creole. Top recorded winds in the area were 96 MPH.
