KATC to air final gubernatorial debate October 9

KATC will join six other Louisiana stations airing the final gubernatorial debate on Wednesday, October 9.

This is the last debate scheduled ahead of the October 12 election.

It will take place at the KSLA News 12 studios in Shreveport.

KATC will air the debate live from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m.. We are joining Gray Television stations from across the state to air the debate, including WVUE-News Orleans, WAFB-Baton Rouge, KSLA-Shreveport, KNOE-Monroe, KPLC-Lake Charles and KALB-Alexandria.

One journalist from each Gray station will participate.

Among the criteria established to determine eligibility to participate in this debate is the requirement that all participants achieve 5% or higher in a poll commissioned by Gray Television and its partners. The poll results will be released on Monday, October 7, and will be the final determination for participation of each candidate.

Doug Warner from KSLA will serve as moderator. Jenifer Andrews-KNOE, Cynthia Arceneaux-KPLC, Steven Maxwell-KALB, Greg MeriwetherWAFB, and Sabrina Wilson-WVUE will be the panelists.
