NEW ORLEANS - A worker who had survived the Hard Rock Hotel collapse and described concerns about the project to investigators was deported to his native Honduras by U.S. Customs and Immigration Enforcement, according to NOLA.com.
Delmer Joel Ramirez Palma, who had worked in construction in the New Orleans area for the past 18 years, escaped from the collapse despite falling several stories.
