According to the Alexandria Town Talk, the Frogmore Plantation near Ferriday caught fire on Friday, July 27. The home sits on 1800 acres and is a historic and working cotton plantation.
18-year-old Leah Ward noticed the flames as she drove by and asked her mom to stop.
Ward said the main building that was on fire, and witnesses say the structure is a total loss.
