BATON ROUGE, La. — Gov. John Bel Edwards is reminding residents affected by Hurricane Delta to pre-register now to get a head start on their phone application and interview if and when the Disaster Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (DSNAP) is approved for their parish.
According to a Tweetfrom Edwards, he is working to get DSNAP approved for Hurricane Delta. Those seeking DSNAP should text "LADSNAP" to 898-211 or visit http://dcfs.la.gov/dsnap for more information.
Those who have already pre-registered or applied for DSNAP during Hurricane Laura, or since March if this year when the COVID-19 pandemic hit, do not need to pre-register again.
If you pre-registered or applied for DSNAP during #Laura (or since March), you do not need to pre-register again. #lagov #Delta #HurricaneDelta
