Early voting ended in Louisiana last week, with almost 1 million people casting their ballots ahead of Tuesday's Presidential Election.

In Acadiana, close to 200,000 people cast early votes. To read about the straight numbers, click here.

KATC Investigates took a closer look at the ballots cast, to see who turned out.

Statewide, 977,408 people voted early.

Here's the breakdown of who is registered to vote in Louisiana:
As of November 1, 2020, there are 3,091,340 registered voters.
Race: 1,951,331, or 63 percent, are white. Another 964,895, or 31 percent, are black.
Party: 1,257,863, or 41 percent, are registered as Democrats. Another 1,020,085, or 33 percent, are registered as Republicans.
Gender: 45 percent, or 1,392,961, are men and 1,696,892, or 56 percent, are women.

Here's the breakdown of who voted early:
Race: 640,466, or 65 percent, were white and 290,691, or 30 percent, were black.
Party: 431,559, or 44 percent, were registered Democrats and 365,140, or 37 percent, were registered Republicans.
Gender: 412643, or 42 percent, were male and 58 percent, or 564,343 were female.
