Drive-thru FEMA registration centers are currently open in Cameron Parish to assist Hurricane Laura survivors with initial registration, technical assistance on current registrations, and scanning documents into case files.

The Cameron Parish Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness says that walk-up services, provided through FEMA Mobile Registration Intake Centers, are another option to expand the reach of personal assistance when the drive-thru option is unavailable.

Walk-up services are provided at local sites to provide initial registration services and limited technical support for current applications while still maintaining social distancing. No document services are provided.

The centers operate under strict COVID-19 protocols to ensure visitors are safe. Masks or face coverings are required for entry and service. Survivors remain in their cars while a specialist wearing a face mask receives documents through the window and returns them.
