Saints quarterback Drew Brees announced Thursday that he and his wife Brittany are committing $5 million to the state amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
Brees says in an Instagram post that they will also be partnering with organizations and businesses like Second Harvest Food Bank and Waitr to prepare and deliver 10,000 meals a day throughout Louisiana.
The partnership, Brees said, will last as long as it takes to help children, seniors, and families in need during this time.
"Let's do our part, maintain hope, and get through this together," Brees said in his post.
