Dean of LSU's Manship School of Mass Communication dies

The dean of LSU's Manship School of Mass Communication has died, according to WBRZ.

Martin Johnson reportedly died overnight.

Johnson was appointed dean in April 2018 and had previously been associate dean for graduate studies and research for the school.

According to the Manship School website, Johnson earned a bachelor's degree from the Manship School and earned his M.A. and Ph.D. in Political Science from Rice University.

As a student at LSU, Johnson was a former editor of The Daily Reveille.

Details related to Johnson's death were not released.
