COVID-19: State update - 201,981 cases and 6,121 deaths

As of November 13, the number of confirmed coronavirus cases reported in Louisiana increased by 3,492 and the number of deaths had increased by 24, according to the Louisiana Department of Health.

The total number of cases in the state is now at 201,981 and the number of deaths is 6,121 as of Friday.

LDH has also begun reporting new antigen test data in Friday's numbers update, read more.

The dashboard will appear with the total number of cases and deaths broken down into confirmed (molecular/PCR test) and probable (antigen test) for the state and each parish. On Friday, LDH reported 201,981 total cases broken down between the 194,685 confirmed cases and 7,296 probable cases. For deaths, 6,121 total deaths were reported broken down into 5,885 confirmed and 236 probable deaths due to COVID-19.

LDH reports that 176,107 patients are "presumed recovered." (These numbers are normally updated on Mondays. The last update was on 11/12/20).

Since Thursday, 37,432 new tests have been reported to the state, bringing the total number of tests to 3,052,383. These total tests have been broken down into 2,985,172 molecular and 67,211 antigen tests.

As of Thursday, 692 patients were hospitalized (up 16 from Thursday), 62 of those patients were on ventilators (up 3 from Thursday).

As of November 12, the number of coronavirus cases reported in Louisiana increased by 2,173 and the number of deaths had increased by 34, according to the Louisiana Department of Health.

LDH reports that 176,107 patients are "presumed recovered." (These numbers are normally updated on Mondays. The last update was on 11/12/20).

LDH says that because of the daily removal of newly identified duplicates and out of state cases, the new case increase may not match the difference between today’s and yesterday's total case count. The collection dates for most of these cases fall between November 5 and November 11, 2020.

96% of the cases reported to the state today were community spread. 4% of the cases reported to the state today were in congregate settings.

Since Tuesday, 31,943 new tests have been reported to the state, bringing the total number of tests to 2,951,846.

As of Thursday, 676 patients were hospitalized (down 8 from Tuesday), 59 of those patients were on ventilators (down 7 from Tuesday).
