Forever 21 may close more than 150 locations across the US with three locations possibly closing in Louisiana.

The apparel retailer could possibly close three stores in Louisiana including the location at the Mall of Acadiana.

Other locations include stores at Juban Crossing in Denham Springs and the Lake Charles store at Derek Drive.

In a letter, the company says that the reason for possible closures is that they recently filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy. The company says they are not going out of business but working to "get back on track for the future."

"The decisions as to which domestic stores will be closing are ongoing, pending the outcome of continued conversations with landlords. We do however expect a significant number of these stores will remain open and operate as usual, and we do not expect to exit any major markets in the U.S.," Forever 21 said in a statement.

A number of national media released the list of possible locations to close across the United States. A look at those can be found here.
