Cleco restores power to 92,000 customers

Cleco says that over 92,000 customers affected by Hurricane Laura have now had their power fully restored.

That estimate is 66 percent of the 140,000 who experienced a loss of power due to Laura.

Around 34 percent of the Cleco customers remain without power as of 8:00 am on Tuesday, September 1.

Below are customer outages by parish as of 8 a.m.:

  • Acadia – Less than 5
  • Allen – 2,786
  • Avoyelles – 841
  • Beauregard – 5,122
  • Calcasieu – 2,461
  • Catahoula - 18
  • Desoto – 404
  • Evangeline – 540
  • Grant – 5,978
  • Iberia – 9
  • Jefferson Davis - 39
  • Lasalle - 15
  • Natchitoches - 188
  • Rapides – 20,398
  • Red River – 10
  • Sabine – 2,645
  • St. Landry – 35
  • St. Martin – Less than 5
  • St. Mary – Less than 5
  • Vernon – 5,685
