SLIDELL, La. (AP) - Searchers have found the body of a missing swimmer in Lake Pontchartrain.
St. Tammany Parish authorities told New Orleans-area news outlets that the body was found Friday morning. The victim's identity was not immediately available.
Capt. Scott Lee, a spokesman for the St. Tammany Parish Sheriff's Office, says the body was found floating around 7 a.m. near Northshore Beach.
The woman had been swimming at Northshore Beach in Slidell on Thursday when she was struck by a boat and disappeared below the waves.
