The State Office of Alcohol and Tobacco Control has released the retail permit application for businesses wanting to sell CBD products.
Back on June 6, Governor John Bel Edwards signed into law House Bill 491,which legalized the growth of industrial hemp, pursuant to the requirements of the Federal Farm Bill of 2018. It brought the state law in line with the federal law that allowed the growth and sale of industrial hemp products. It doesn’t allow products that are inhaled – meaning CBD vapes aren’t legal – and it doesn’t allow edibles.
