Pineville man accused of criminal sexual conduct with juveniles

RAPIDES PARISH, La. –  A 22-year-old Pineville man is accused of criminal sexual conduct involving juveniles.

On April 23, 2019, deputies with the Rapides Parish Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of sexual assault in the Pineville area.

Detectives identified the suspect as McKenzie Paul West, 22.

Through their investigation, including an interview of the victims at the Rapides Children’s Advocacy Center, detectives were able to establish sufficient probable cause that supported the original allegations, according to investigators. Warrants were granted for West’s arrest in reference to first-degree rape, victims under 13 (three counts); sexual battery, victims under the age of 13 (three counts); indecent behavior with juveniles, victim under the age of 13 (seven counts).

On May 2, West was taken into custody without incident in reference to the warrants.

He was booked into the Rapides Parish Jail where he remains in lieu of posting a $565,000 bond.
