Louisiana singer Laine Hardy, who unexpectedly got a golden ticket while helping another friend audition for the show, has made the top 14 on American Idol.
Sunday night, Hardy performed with Elle King.
He was on the show last season, and went to a friend’s audition this year – and blew the judges away when they persuaded him to sing again for them. Read our interview with him about it here.
Three other Louisiana singers made it to Hollywood this year, but Hardy is the only one left.
