Zack Thibodaux, 27, of Thibodaux, was booked with second-offense DWI, said Thibodaux Chief of Police Bryan Zeringue.
On Sunday, just before 3 a.m., a Thibodaux police officer working off-duty detail on North Canal was called about a driver sleeping in the drive-thru line. When he got there, the officer found a grey pick-up truck crashed into an intercom box.
When the officer removed the driver, Zack Thibodaux, from the vehicle he “immediately suspected” that Thibodaux was drunk. Thibodaux failed a series of field sobriety tests and was arrested. A breath sample later showed his blood alcohol content to be 0.185 percent, police allege.
Thibodaux was booked into to the Lafourche Parish Correctional Complex, where he later posted a $2,500.00 bond and was released, records show.
