Muffuletta, spinach and artichoke – ghost peppers in vegan cream cheese??
Today is King’s Day, the start of Carnival season.
Traditionally, it’s the first day that King Cakes are available, which is appropriate, because it marks the day that the three kings are said to have visited the Baby Jesus.
This year, the Times Picayune did a rundown for readers of “what’s new” in King Cakes in the New Orleans area. The offerings includes some flavors that some might find odd.
How about crawfish and goat cheese, with a pepper jelly frosting? Or peanut butter and banana topped with bacon?
