The country is only eight days away from a possible government shutdown if President Trump and Senate Republicans can’t come to an agreement on a budget for the border wall that would separate the United States and Mexico.
Louisiana Senator John Kennedy says the shutdown is a real possibility.
“Look, I don’t want a shutdown. But, I’ve been asked repeatedly do I think we’re going to have one, and I think there is a real possibility we will. President Trump doesn’t look to me like he’s bluffing. He wants the money for his border wall. Border walls work.”
