LSU is settling on the money owed to former football coach Les Miles, The Advocate reports.
According to the paper, LSU announced that both parties agreed to a lump-sum paying Miles $1.6 million of the remaining $6.5 million he was owed through 2023.
Miles was fired in 2016 and was still owed $9.6 million on his contract. That was to be paid out in installments over 6 years.
The Advocate says that the money would ne mitigated if he found a new job and the payments would be offset against his new salary.
Ed Orgeron was given the job in 2016 and then became head coach after the off season.
