American Idol to hold open auditions in Shreveport

On September 9, the search for the next American Idol continues with Open Auditions in Shreveport.

The popular singing competition will hold open auditions on Sunday, September 9, at the Shreveport Municipal Memorial Auditorium located at 705 Grand Ave. The audition is a part of the nation-wide American Idol Bus Tour which kicked off on July 20 with auditions in New Orleans.

Auditions are scheduled to begin no later than 9:00 a.m. and will end by 5:00 p.m. The show says auditions will take place rain or shine and that those auditioning will do so on a first come, first served basis.

Last season, Bossier City resident Garret Jacobs made it all the way to Hollywood after auditioning for show judges Lionel Richie, Katy Perry and Luke Bryan. Jacobs was eliminated from the competition after making it into the Top 14.
