The Opelousas Police Department is closing its building to the public.
During this time the department will not be providing non-criminal fingerprint services and in-person police report processing.
Accident reports can be purchased online at https://policereports.lexisnexis.com/search/search.
Any other reports can be requested by phone 337-948-2500 or by email: reports@opelousaspd.com.
The Department also is preparing to make other changes in service response and will notify the public when those changes go into effect. Currently calls for service are still being handled as usual.
