The City of Opelousas is extending its curfew to June 1.

The curfew is from 12:00 am to 5:00 am for all individuals.

The curfew does not apply to any first responders or any person reporting to or coming from a place of employment deemed as an "essential business" under the State of Louisiana Emergency Declaration.

All businesses within the City of Opelousas, with the exception of a hospital or private ambulance service, will be closed at 12:00 am until 5:00 am.

Businesses supplying fuel services may allow self-service pumps to remain in use.
