The Louisiana Department of Health are reporting that most parishes in Acadiana have COVID-19 percent positivity rates at or above 10%.

LDH updates its percent positivity rates each Wednesday. Of the percent positivity rates from Dec. 24 - 30 compared to Dec. 31 - Jan. 6, Jeff Davis Parish recorded the largest increase with 19.05%, followed by Vermilion Parish with 11.48%.

Gov. John Bel Edwards's latest emergency proclamation went into effect on Nov. 25 and moved the state back into a modified Phase 2 where bars that are in parishes that exceed 5% positivity for two consecutive weeks are required to cease serving patrons indoors.

Gov. John Bel Edwards announced Tuesday that Louisiana will remain in a Phase 2 until Feb. 10.

The latest extension of the governor's emergency proclamation order keeps the COVID-19 mitigation measures in place for another 28 days, which includes the statewide mask mandate and limits bars in parishes that exceed 5% positivity for two consecutive weeks to cease serving patrons indoors.
