Distribution of masks begin in St. Mary Parish, more scheduled for Monday

St. Mary Parish, La. - Distribution for 25,000 masks donated by Hanes began Friday in St. Mary Parish.

One pack containing five washable masks were distributed in Berwick, Morgan City, Patterson and unincorporated areas of the parish.

On Monday, the Town of Baldwin and the City of Franklin will have sites set up to give masks out to residents.

Baldwin residents can pick up their masks starting at 10:00 am at Baldwin Elementary on Main Street.

Starting at 11:00 am, Franklin residents can pick up masks at the Franklin City Recreation Center.

According to Parish President David Hanagriff, 25,000 is 40% of the population in the parish and there is a need for more masks.
