Man seeking plasma donor for brother announces brother died from COVID-19 on Friday

The New Iberia man who was looking for a plasma donor for his brother announced today that he died from COVID-19.

Troy Comeaux was looking for a donor for James Comeaux, also known as Chris, who tested positive for Coronavirus on April 8, while he was living at a local nursing home. Shortly after being diagnosed, his condition worsened, and he was transported to the hospital.

The family put their appeal for a plasma donor on social media searching for a COVID-19 survivor who is either AB positive or negative. In two days, the post has been shared over 1500 times.

Tommy said Chis passed away this morning 8:36 from the disease.
