The Louisiana Department of Health will be contracting staff to serve as Contact Tracers to assist in the state's response to COVID-19.

LDH will utilize two call centers with 100 percent Louisiana agents. While hiring will be statewide, the initial call center locations will be based in the Lafayette and New Orleans area. Contact Tracers will tele-work and should feel comfortable having a telephone conversation with someone and entering data.

You must also at least be a high school graduate, be compassionate, and be able to protect and honor patient privacy. Those interested must complete a detailed training session. Individual call centers are hiring directly and may have additional requirements.

The first group of Contact Tracers, around 250 team members, will begin training this week and services will be available to the state by May 15.

Jobs available currently are for Contact Tracers, Case Investigators, Contact Tracer Supervisor, and COVID Care Resource Coordinator. Attached to each job title are links to the respective job descriptions.

Those interested in applying should send their resume and position(s) interested in to contacttracingla@lsu.edu. Any questions can also be sent to that email.
