COVID-19 testing, flu vaccination dates next week

The Louisiana Department of Health is partnering with several organizations to offer free COVID-19 testing and flu vaccinations over the next week. All sites are subject to change due to weather.

Testing is available this Saturday, December 12, from 8 a.m. - 12 p.m. at 718 South Buchanan Street presented by Representative Vincent Pierre and Ocshner Lafayette General. Flu vaccinations are also offered at this site.

Ocshner Lafayette General is also offering COVID-19 testing and flu vaccines next week from Wednesday-Friday, December 16-18. Testing will be offered at Domingue's Recreational Center, located at 901 Mudd Ave. in Lafayette, from 8 a.m. - 4 p.m.

The following drive-through no-cost testing dates and sites are offered through the Louisiana National Guard and the Department of Health:

All testing will be conducted from 8 a.m. - 3 p.m. *Ville Platte and Opelousas Civic Center testing from 9 a.m. - 3 p.m.

For COVID TESTING: Pre-register at http://health.questdiagnostics.com/stlou
· You must provide an email address. Onsite registration is available.
· Results will be available online within 3-5 days
· There is no-cost for the COVID Testing
· Anyone 5 years of age and older can be tested. (no need to pre-register for ages 5 through 17 years)
· Wear a mask. It is a self-administered nasal swab test
