As of Jan. 15, the number of total coronavirus cases reported in Louisiana increased by 3,712, according to the Louisiana Department of Health.
Due to a data system issue, LDH says that deaths were not updated on Friday.
Of these cases, 2,054 are confirmed cases and 1,658 are probable cases.
The total coronavirus case count in the state on Friday was 364,853 cases. The current total death count remained at 8,080.
The collection dates for most of these cases (76.1%) fall between January 7 and January 14, 2021. 11.3% of the cases have collection dates between January 1 and January 6 and 12% of the cases have collection dates in December.
97% of the cases reported to the state today were community spread. 3% of the cases reported to the state today were in congregate settings. Individuals between the ages of 18 and 29 (19%) and between the ages of 30 and 39 (16%) account for 35% of these cases.
As of Thursday, January 14, there have been 201,377 vaccinations have been administered. This data is updated twice a week on Tuesdays and Thursdays. The next update will be Tuesday, Jan. 19.

As of Jan. 14, the number of total coronavirus cases reported in Louisiana increased by 5,318 and the number of deaths had increased by 58, according to the Louisiana Department of Health.
Of these cases, 3,063 are confirmed cases and 2,255 are probable cases.
The total coronavirus case count in the state on Thursday was 361,148 cases. The current total death count is 8,080.
LDH says that a backlog is included in Thursday’s case and test count resulting from a newly on-boarded lab. This backlog includes 916 cases and 4,963 total tests. The cases date as far back as 11/9/20.
The collection dates for most of these cases (66.5%) fall between January 5 and January 13, 2021. 5.3 percent of the cases have collection dates between January 1 and January 4 and 22.6 percent of the cases have collection dates in December.
