As of November 3, the number of coronavirus cases reported in Louisiana increased by 1,150 and the number of deaths had increased by 17, according to the Louisiana Department of Health.
The total number of cases in the state is now at 184,769 and the number of deaths is 5,737 as of Tuesday.
LDH says that today’s reported cases come from all regions of the state, with the most coming from Acadiana (23%), Greater Baton Rouge (19%) and Bossier/Shreveport (19%) areas.
The vast majority (95%) of these new cases are tied to community spread, according to LDH, rather than congregate settings.
LDH reports that 168,634 patients are "presumed recovered." (These numbers are normally updated on Mondays. The last update was on 10/26/20).
Since Monday, 29,376 new tests have been reported to the state, bringing the total number of tests to 2,813,481.
As of Tuesday, 619 patients were hospitalized (up 23 from Monday), 84 of those patients were on ventilators (up 14 from Monday).

The total number of cases in the state is now at 183,616 and the number of deaths is 5,720 as of Monday.
LDH reports that 168,634 patients are "presumed recovered." (These numbers are normally updated on Mondays. The last update was on 10/26/20).
Since Sunday, 5,366 new tests have been reported to the state, bringing the total number of tests to 2,784,105.
As of Monday, 596 patients were hospitalized (down 2 from Sunday), 70 of those patients were on ventilators (no change from Sunday).
