COVID-19: State update - 180,991 cases and 5,666 deaths

As of October 27, the number of coronavirus cases reported in Louisiana increased by 885 and the number of deaths had increased by 18, according to the Louisiana Department of Health.

The total number of cases in the state is now at 180,991 and the number of deaths is 5,666 as of Tuesday.

LDH says that the collection dates for most of these cases fall between October 20 and October 26, 2020. 97 percent of the cases reported to the state Tuesday were community spread and 3 percent of the cases reported to the state were in congregate settings.

LDH reports that 165,282 patients are "presumed recovered." (These numbers are normally updated on Mondays. The last update was on 10/19/20).

Since Monday, 20,711 new tests have been reported to the state, bringing the total number of tests to 2,719,544.

According to LDH, 600 people are currently hospitalized across the state (down 9 from Monday), and 91 of those are on ventilators (up 20 from Monday).

St. Mary - 2,021 cases (up 3) | 86 deaths (up 1)

Vermilion - 2,125 (up 8) | 70 deaths (no change)

As of October 26, the number of coronavirus cases reported in Louisiana increased by 222 and the number of deaths had increased by 17, according to the Louisiana Department of Health.

The total number of cases in the state is now at 180,069 and the number of deaths is 5,648 as of Monday.

LDH reports that 165,282 patients are "presumed recovered." (These numbers are normally updated on Mondays. The last update was on 10/19/20).

Since Sunday, 5,059 new tests have been reported to the state, bringing the total number of tests to 2,698,833.

According to LDH, 609 people are currently hospitalized across the state (up 13 from Sunday), and 71 of those are on ventilators (up 5 from Sunday).
